Larysa Switlyk, grew up with three older brothers and a fear of guns. Yet, her upbringing taught her to be strong, courageous and not afraid to try anything. A mixture of a tomboy and model, Larysa is competitive, engaging and adventurous. She earned her bachelor’s and master‘s degrees in accounting in just four years, and promptly landed a CPA job in New York City. However, she quickly realized she wasn’t a city girl. A gut feeling told her something was missing in her life.
Larysa Switlyk is a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Real Estate Agent; who is ready to unleash her wild side. She has a natural talent for shooting.
Larysa’s passion for travel, meeting new people, discovering new places and experiences, led her to find that thing when she booked a hunt in New Zealand. Even though she had never shot a rifle before, she instantly fell in love with the hunting lifestyle. She realized she had a natural talent for shooting and hunting. She has always liked the outdoors but it was not until later in life that she found true love and zeal for hunting. Larysa discovered her calling and booked her second hunting adventure in South Africa! Larysa is the only one who hunts and fishes in her family and has added the bow to her arsenal, continuing to hunt when she can. Recently she’s been fortunate to experience hunts in Argentina, Europe, Canada, and all over the United States.
Larysa caught her first fish at the age of 11 with a piece of cut off line and hook her brother handed her. Without a fishing pole, she landed a fish before her older brother and had to handline it in. She was hooked for life! However, Larysa didn’t get the opportunity to really pursue fishing fulltime until college, where she started sharpening her skills, and entering tournaments. Her natural thirst for knowledge drove her to learn everything she could about the sport and explore catching various species using multiple techniques. Her need for a challenge expanded her methods of fishing to include a fly rod, spear gun, and bow & arrow!
Understanding how complex hunting and fishing is, and how much there is to learn, Larysa made it her goal to absorb as much as possible about the outdoors and how to conserve and protect it. Now she wants to provide an entertaining and adventurous vehicle for viewers to experience and learn alongside her the importance of conservation, heritage and the true reason people hunt and fish. She wants to unleash us all!
Larysa is ambassador of the State of Florida for “Hunt of a Life Time” which is a nonprofit organization that grants hunting and fishing adventures for children age 21 and under, who have been diagnosed with a life threatening illnesses. She can’t think of a better way to share her passion for the outdoors than making a child’s dream come true.
When Larysa is not out traveling and hunting, she is attending multiple Republican fundraisers discussing with politicians hunting and the protection of our 2nd amendment rights.
